Very nice hotel. Looks/feels/smells new. My suite was big and well equipped. Price was decent for SoCal. Breakfast was standard Marriott fare, but very well done. Good quality items for the most part. Really nice fitness room. Bed comfy. Staff nice. I’ll be bock!

I normally don't write reviews on hotels, but this one really surprised me. The breakfast is what made me want to write this review. It is nothing special and something special at the same time. They offer bagels, toast, cereal, waffle making station, eggs (scrambled and hard-boiled) and they had bottled water, bottled chocolate milk, yogurt and juice.
I got a free upgrade to a double King room, so that was a plus. The bed was the perfect firmness. The bathroom is very large with a large shower.
I say all that to say, you should stay here.

We stayed for a few days while evacuating from a nearby wildfire and we were so pleasantly surprised! We would absolutely come back to stay again in the future. (Hopefully not because of a fire next time!)

Every time we left the room, they were cleaning different areas of the hotel. It was one of the cleanest hotels I've been to in a very long time!

One minor thing is that all the lights in the room and bathroom are quite bright, so it can be jarring, especially in the middle of the night, to not have a lower light option. But really it's a very small complaint, if it can even be called that.

The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful.

The breakfast was delicious, and they were quick to restock items that were running low.

The location is perfect - you can drive 20-30 minutes and be at the coast without paying full price like you would closer to the beach.

Overall, we loved this hotel!

Positive: It was close to the venue that I was celebrating at on 11/30. Negative: Yes. I was offered a handicap room with a handicapped shower. I explained that I am not handicapped, but the staff said that was all they had. Everything was booked up! Meantime I never booked a handicap room!! I wanted a room with a bathtub.

I admire, appreciate, and value he excellent service provided by the staff. Beginning with the manager, and all associates; their objective is great customer service. It is my experience they go the extra mile for me, the guest.

Very nice and new hotel, huge TVs, super clean. My only complaint is that all the lights in the rooms were super bright fluorescent bulbs, including in the bathroom where you could only turn on all lights at 100%, or no light. There was no way to have only a small light or dim light on at night, like to go to the bathroom. That said, overall it was a great stay! Solid breakfast in the morning.

I am writing this review to express my deep gratitude for the staff at the Fairfield Inn in Los Alamitos. We have had to stay four, weeks due to home renovations, and it could not have been a better stay. From the moment we arrived, Marilyn and Kayla welcomed us. Stacey Wolfe The front desk supervisor was so kind and professional. We are so impressed with her the whole time we were here. We heard no noise at all and were able to rest comfortably. The housekeeping staff at this hotel are amazing. I have never seen a staff work so hard and do such a fabulous job and we have stayed at many hotels all over the world. Please make sure to tip them. They are well deserving of every dollar. I will highly recommend this hotel to our friends and anybody wanting to have a clean, quiet, and comfortable stay. The staff to go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We are happy to be going home but we will miss everybody we have met here.

A very nice place to stay. Brennan at the Front Desk checked me in and out, and he was friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms and hallways have energy saving devices, which is nice. The rooms have special cleaning protocols. My only complaint is that breakfast closed early, so make sure to get your food 30 minutes before it's supposed to close.

Everything was perfect on my second stay.
