Very clean and easy to get to, that's about it
Very noisy with park located right next to the highway.

Concrete pads are worthless as they are so small that two chairs and a tables barely fit.

The power posts are so low to the ground that you have to kneel on the rocks to get the power cord installed.

The water connections are buried in the ground. Once again after kneeling on the ground and opening the hard to open sprinkling box the water connection is difficult to connect the water hose to.

This is a really great place to relax by the running water and have a picnic with your family and friends. They have nice clean restrooms on-site. Also great hiking trails that are a flat even grade. Easy hike. If you are just coming through town or staying in town it is a nice place to go. Very pretty and relaxing. You cant go wrong when you are sitting next to running water or exploring nature.

Edited to add response to the owner’s response at the end of this review.

My husband booked this place for us to stay for the summer. When we got there, our spot was almost too small for our RV, making set-up one of the hardest we’ve ever had (we have traveled all over the country, so we know what we are doing). We finally get it parked and start hooking up to services and the water is a plastic pipe, and leaks when we turn it on. We let the office know, but no one came to check it. This park is right off the road, so close that I could throw a rock and easily hit the road. This park is also located close to where the speed limit changes so all day long and all night long all you hear is jake brakes and engines revving up, making for a long, sleepless night. The next morning we drove the hour to Show Low on a horribly maintained road to go look around. During the ride we decided to go visit the RV parks there to see if there was one that might have an opening in the next month. We managed to get very lucky and the first one we went to we were able to move in on the same day. So we called the office of Gristmill and explained that we were moving, and asked if we could get a partial refund. We paid $387.90 for ONE NIGHT. They did not give us a partial refund, which is frustrating because we work in the hospitality industry and we don’t keep anyone’s money for nights they don’t stay with us. And we paid more for 1 night than what we’ve ever paid for a fancy hotel for 1 night. I do not recommend this park, it’s a horrible location, with no trees, no internet, loud road traffic, and horrible customer service.

Response to owner’s response:

First the water, when we unhooked, was still leaking, so nothing was done about the leak.

Second, the fact that this small business thinks it’s okay to keep our money for misrepresentation of their park is plain absurd. They kept $387.90 for ONE NIGHT, and then turned around and rented it to someone else, meaning they made DOUBLE the money. We were completely unsatisfied with this park. We even drove through the park, hoping that another sight might be okay, but they are all plagued with loud road noise, and most lacked trees, shade, and space.

People’s plans change, whether it’s because life happens (things beyond your control), or because someone is not satisfied with your park, doesn’t mean that you should be greedy and keep their money. This is a bad business practice and not the kind of business we want to associate with, or support.

I ran into bad weather and checked out a few places in the area. This looked like the nicest and safety from the awful winds. It is a small, fairly new park from what I could see. Has full hookups,
There were no showers, but had a laundry. The dumpster is hard to find as it's located in a space at the back of the park.
They do have an age restriction on the campers as well as customers and no tent camping.
Check in, was all done by phone.
Had some small trees. Nice views backs up to a field on 3 sides and is right on the road but nights are sure quiet.
I'm very thankful they accepted my rig and me on such short notice.

I stayed here for a little over 3 months here and I enjoyed it very much. Definitely one of the cleanest parks I've been to and it's nice and quiet. They have a very nice office on site with a nice laundry room as well which is a huge plus. The owner is also very easy to deal with.
