We had the most amazing experience with Camilla in her stained glass class! From the moment we arrived, she was so friendly and fun—we instantly felt welcomed. I booked a private lesson on 2/24, which marked five years since my dad passed. It was important to create new, positive memories for my mom on that day, so we could still think of him but also find reasons to laugh. Camilla’s warmth and guidance made that possible. Camilla at Through Eyes of Glass is a phenomenal teacher! I recently took a class with her and, with little experience, was able to make stained glass flowers! Camilla has a great sense of humor and provided inspiring direction and insightful tips which enabled our creativity to shine. It was such a fun class and I had a blast! We had a BIG project for Camilla. We wanted to replace two windows in a stairwell with beautiful images of Morro Rock, one during the day, and one at nightfall. The results were spectacular. We were skeptical about finding the right colors and textures to create our masterpiece, and Camilla picked exactly the right combination for a dramatic effect!

The best glass studio on the central coast!! Camilla is funny, attentive, and very knowledgeable. I’ve taken classes and continued learning techniques from her as a studio member. She is skilled in teaching stained glass, fused glass, mosaics and more! She’s a kind, welcoming teacher who’s made glasswork accessible for the community!! Would definitely recommend a class or membership!

Just attended the Date night glass making session with my GF and had a blast. Camilla was very welcoming and got us situated in a station immediately. Even though there were various group she perfectly balanced all the socializing, teaching, and pacing aspects of the class. No one was left behind, everyone felt comfortable with their own skills, and we all had a good laugh together as a group. We ended up with an amazing hummingbird and a wonderful experience.

I had so much fun doing the stained glass crash course with Camilla! She explained the process and techniques very clearly and was there to help, but she also allowed us the freedom to do our thing and be creative while learning the process. I highly recommend taking a class and I hope to do another one in the future!

I took another class, the intermediate. I designed my own dragon & finished him with a lead border. He turned out very nice. Would recommend this instructor. She is thorough in her explanation, flexible, kind, & answers all questions you might have.

I did a welcoming and relaxing mosaic workshop here with two 10yos. Camilla was so flexible--when half the group was done early, she invited them to make a second project, and was flexible on stop time so we could all finish. She kept the pieces to grout for us, with three different grout colors offered. I'm recommending it to all my friends for date night, or as a parent-kid bonding activity! There are so few public spaces like this in SLO, it is a total gem for creative folks!
