Ordered a tree from this company after Christmas last year. I went to put in up and didn't receive a stand. I wait for a stand and now realize I didn't receive my "welcome package". I don't even have a plug to plug in to an outlet. I called again and was on hold for a lengthy time again. They'll send me what I need, but will do nothing to expedite the process because they're busy from Black Friday. I could l care less about Black Friday--not my concern. I waited again for a supervisor and they will do nothing special to help me. This is my second purchase from this company and it will be the last.

Had a shipment arrive damaged (4 of 6 Christmas ornaments).
Called Balsam Hill and spoke to a REAL person who immediately warrantied it and is sending a new shipment.
This is what customer service should be, it was quick and easy, not sending 4 emails trying to get ahold of someone.

You buy an expensive tree like Balsam Hill thinking it offers quality. First year: love it. Second year: the lights start to get a little troublesome. You'll spend an hour or so replacing bulbs. Year three: several hours trouble-shooting. After that: forget it. Whole strands of lights won't work. You'll spend hours replacing bulbs, master bulbs, fuses. Nothing will solve the issue. You'll call their customer service line: they will offer no help and also say they have no replacement bulbs or light strands. You'll regret spending so much money on a Balsam Hill tree.

If you like paying $1,200+ for a Christmas tree and getting garbage, don't hesitate to order from Balsam Hill!

So disappointed - the entire middle of the tree hangs in weird ways or has broken branches. And no one there will help. I lost count of how many times I tried to contact.

Will be sending a complaint to the California attorney general's consumer office - too late for my case to be fixed but perhaps they can investigate what's happening at this company.

On year five of my BH Spruce and two of the master bulbs have blown. Cannot buy these on their website…and even better, the websites that customer service sends you to also do not sell master bulbs. My cheap-o Target tree that is 9 years old is still going, but now I have a $700 tree that is missing lights. Do better, Balsam Hill, do better.

No support after warranty expires. Purchased a $4500 tree and storage bags have broke and need to buy 4 more. They offered me bags that cost $240 each and are not even the same bags and they wont work to store a 15 ft tree. Look elsewhere for better customer service support before committing to Balsam Hill!

I received a defective tree and called in for help. To make a long story short, after sending my tree back for a refund (customer service emailed me a return shipping label) a month has gone by and I’ve called in at least a handful of times to get my money back. They keep crediting my bank account for $0.00. I don’t recommend purchasing anything from this company. Their customer service is awful. All I want is my money back, they have my tree and the money I spent on the tree ($765.00) so in a way I feel as they’ve stolen from me. Is it really worth the risk of getting a tree that may or may not work? I think NOT!!!!!!!

I purchased the Silverado Slim Unlit tree in October 2020 from Balsam Hill. The tree assembled very easily and the tree needles were a very good fake. However, after spending 3 hours fluffing every inch of the tree branches, the tree still looks half bare and I can see right through the tree. I have owned fake trees before so I know how to fluff. Balsam Hill's photos are a scam- they show these very dense trees, when in fact, they really only about half as full as depicted. I tried calling the company and had to wait nearly 1.5 hours for anyone to answer. (Balsam Hill's "live chat" is just a chat bot that could not respond to my issue and just referred me back to the phone number that I was on hold for 1.5 hours.) When someone finally did answer the phone I asked how many branches the tree was supposed to have. They did not have any specifications for the tree. I asked to speak with their supervisor and was put on hold again. They then hung up on me, after I was on hold 1 hour and 45 minutes. his is by far the most expensive Christmas tree I have ever bought. I am extremely disappointed in how few branches it has. DO NOT BUY FROM BALSAM HILL- THEIR PHOTOS ARE NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF WHAT THEY REALLY LOOK LIKE. THEY ONLY HAVE HALF OF THE BRANCHES THEY SHOW IN PHOTOS.
