Today is January 27th 2025. I just left the store. I spent a considerable amount of time browsing in the store, as most natural hair care connoisseurs who are ingredient conscious do, and I was approached by one of the store owners (Asian male) and asked if I needed help. I kindly told him no and explained that I was taking so long because I being thorough with my product selection.

Despite my explanation, he proceeded to tell me that because of the extended period of time I spent in the store, he and his wife had a right to refuse service to me at anytime for any reason.

I went to the register immediately after realizing that his approach was not hospitable and that I was suspected of having the potential to commit a crime.

Surveillance is one thing but approaching me to passive aggressively tell me that I am under suspicion of stealing was unnecessary and unprofessional. People browse and BLACK women sometimes take their time looking through hair care products because we can be highly investigative with such things.

I asked how long was too long to browse and I was not given an answer. I was simply told that people usually shop within a 30 minute window. I was not loitering. The store is vast and has a lot of product. I took my time browsing and found and purchased $40+ worth of products to help me finish my locs. It may have been outside of “their” normal but it was not criminal and I should not have been made to feel like one.

If you do not believe me … I encourage you to browse as I did and report back. I am not the first and will not be the last person they do this too but I will not let them treat me like that again.

Do not overstay your welcome. You’ve been warned.

I don't normally complain about bad customer service because I deal with customers everyday being in Management. Please stop stealing from this store because I just got yelled at, treated like a dog. Do not remove those gray circular labels to read the ingredients in the bottles bc they said it's considered stealing. When I told the cashier I don't steal she gave me a look like yeah right. When someone accuse you of stealing and treat you as such there are laws in place for that. However I choose to let it go. But please stop taking from this store so that others that don't take wont be treated with disrepect.Being yelled at, forced to the front of store, other customers watching as if you're guilty, just embarrassing but bc I chose to forgive I will be back. It was encouraged for me not to come back. What are the odds. Plus they have products I need." We all don't steal" stop watching TV shows that reflect bad character of a certain community. THERE ARE STILL DECENT PEOPLE IN THE WORLD.

I really like this beauty supply store, but what I dislike is the fact I was short 6 cents and when I reached to grab my bag and told the cashier that I was coming back she snatched my bag out of my hands and said oh I’ll wait for the money… Literally 6 cents that’s all I owed and I definitely wasn’t going to run off for 6 cents… I feel like the whole situation could’ve been handled differently and in more of a professional manner. Let me tell you something honey without customers you wouldn’t even be getting a paycheck, be considerate of others especially paying customers!

My first time visiting and stopping by! I MUST SAY, I WILL BE VISITING AND STOPPING BY MORE OFTEN BECAUSE I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT…. As soon as I step my foot in the door I felt like a kid going into a candy shop, Lmao!😂🤣🤣🤣 SERIOUSLY….. I didn’t want to leave at all! So yeah, I’ll be coming back and back………. Keep up the great work! Also, Excellent service… 10 STARS I SAY!!!! Smiles!

Store owner/manager is very RUDE. I purchased a hair bun that said it was a two piece. But once open the bang is attached to the bun. And he refused to exchange. And told me to get out of his store after I told him to just shut up. That I was not going to argue with him over a piece hair that he is misleading the customers on. So I will never purchase anything else from that location, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

I literally come in this store all the time they have everything you could think of with good prices….. with that being said I went in with my sister and the kids the other day and and short Asian lady followed us around the whole store for like 15 minutes she kept popping up like Houdini and that made me feel profiled and insulted as I come in all the time. I will never go back it was mortifying.

I absolutely love this beauty store. The establishment is neatly organized, clean, and they have such a huge variety of products to choose from. I also love seeing people of color working inside the store. Their customer service is amazing, but it's even more helpful when you have employees who actually wear the weaves the store sells, and they can assist better when I ask for assistance with recommendations. This is my "go to" hair store. Nothing like it

RACIST! These ppl are racist! I watched them follow my kid around while she was picking out lipgloss ! DISGUSTING PLACE DO NOT SHOP HERE! News flash ALL BLACK PPL DONT STEAL! It’s sad that we live in a world like this.I would not recommend shopping here if you want a good experience. These people are rude and will follow you around the store as soon as you step in the door. It’s very sad and disappointing.
