Brook has done our last two sets of family photos. He is extremely talented and we definitely the best we've worked with! In 2016, I had a vision in mind for our shoot and I wasn't sure how to make It happen. Our family pictures for the last few years had always been somewhere nice and sweet, like a park with flowers. Adorable but also pretty typical. Brook Todd comes very highly recommended so we explained to him what we were looking for. I wanted something more edgy, I wanted an urban look, industrial backgrounds, graffiti, etc. And Brook delivered. He went to Oakland the day before our shoot and scouted out several different places that he thought would work and he was RIGHT. There is some amazing street art in the city of Oakland and he found a ton of It. And then there were just some random places that you never would think to stop and take photos but we did and they all turned out AMAZING. I'm going to try to upload some of them after I add this review but if I can't, I just want all readers to know that Brook totally understood the vision that I had for our family pics and he made It happen. And he made us all look awesome too. At the time, we had a very active, energetic four year old who never sits still. And it's often impossible to get her to a give a regular smile, she always wants to make a funny face or something for pics. But Brook handled her like the pro he is and her pics especially turned out just gorgeous. Then a couple years later, when our son turned about a year, we called Brook because we needed to update our photos. This time, I didn't know exactly what I wanted but since we'd never done family pics at the beach, I thought maybe that would be a good idea. Brook has a ton of experience in photographing people at the beach and knew that there is just a very small window of time where the light is perfect to get good shots. So he took us to a vineyard while we were waiting for the perfect light and got some beautiful shots there first. This time we had two kiddos to manage and Brook did an awesome job of that too. I cannot recommend Brook highly enough! If you want amazing shots, call him.

I sometimes feel awkward getting my pictures taken, but Brook was very kind, helpful, and made it a very comfortable experience for me. He has a really good eye for the best shots.
