Outstanding! From design to installation they are excellent to deal with. Shout out to Kendra, who maximized space in all 3 closets as I wanted, and to Jaquile and Aaron for the quality of work, amazing attention to detail and great attitude. They worked 10+ hour days, 2 days in a row and the results are terrific.

Amazing experience with warranty and staff. We put a CA closet in our house 15 years ago and part of it broke. We contacted them and they sent someone to look who said it was installed improperly (they have a different method now) so they installed an entire brand new closet system for us (our color was no longer available). No questions, no hassle. It was truly fantastic. Michael was helpful in getting the process moving and the installers were professional and expedient. I remember thinking back when we installed CA closets originally that it was more expensive than some other options but so worth it for the quality product, service and warranty.

I have worked with California Closets in the past and had a wonderful experience. Today I had Hannah come out for a quote on my master bedroom closet and it went south fast! When I originally ordered my pantry the breakdown of the old closet was included in the installation however, I was informed that they would not patch or paint. Knowing this, I moved on with the project because the built in would cover anything anyway.
First:
Be very aware that there are two types of pricing. A high price with "adjustable" and a significantly lower pricing called "Lateral" which is the same materials but a fixed set of sizes. They don't tell you this at first until you scoff at the price. I was also told that the company has all the product mass ordered in the "lateral" category only to be told that it is 4 to 8 weeks out because they have to order the material. The more expensive quote is more customizable as you can select any size to your liking whereas the "lateral" is a fixed size. They will tell you that it is because they mass ordered the materials, but that is not true hence being told it is 4 to 6 weeks for manufacturing.
Second:
The big insult was how pressured I was to make a decision NOW...TODAY! MY BOSS WANTS THIS TODAY! All of this is being bullied to you in your home and then over text without any of the e-mail information that she told me she would send to me hasn't even been sent. Oh no, she wanted an answer now or you won't get the discount.... blah blah blah...well...I don't think there is a "big boss" only because I originally had her measure two projects and when I informed her, I was only doing the one, she still gave me the same discount within seconds and suddenly didn't need to ask this BIG BOSS! This was not the case when I first worked with this company. I was told to take as much time as I needed to make a decision and given a personal number. I called a week later. I don't work with anyone who has to pressure me to "hurry up and buy".
Third:
Upon attempting to finalize the "deal" after they agreed to take another $250 off the quote, I was then asked if I could dismantle my closet myself. Excuse me? In my first time dealing with this company, they informed me that the tear down was included in the cost, but they don't patch holes or paint. Now, all of a sudden this was dropped on me and when I said it was a deal breaker, the agent, Hannah was extremely condescending to me and texted me endlessly telling me, "Well, what did you expect? For us to do it for free? We have to tear down, dispose of the materials. I told her for $420 it wasn't worth it for about 30 to 45 min of work and product that could go in my trash can. She then condescended further and told me; well, we have to patch holes and paint. I asked her if this was new, and she said no. I said well, I was told from my last project that their company doesn't patch or paint. Furthermore, why would I need that done when the closet being installed would cover all of that. She had no explanation. Furthermore, why would you not mention this in the consultation? She said the price, it was "all included".
Lastly, I blocked her from texting me endlessly with her further slander towards me and then she started peppering my e-mail.
I would rather make a deal on a new car purchase while getting a root canal than deal with these people.
They have lost my business permanently.
