This place has such a beautiful, authentic atmosphere. The food is delicious and always fresh. They have handmade tortillas and their salsas are very flavorful. The waiters and staff are friendly and make the experience that much more enjoyable. The restaurant itself has such a beautiful design and decor inside and out. Highly recommend dining here.

Delicious and wonderful setting that shows the Mexican culture. This place has a full bar and also indoor/outdoor seating. They have mariachis that play music and you can specially request them. We got the been chimichanga and some other items. They greet you at the table with chips and salsa. You can request spicy. This place is colorful and beautiful with lively servers. I thoroughly enjoyed my plate. I had the Carne Asada Tampiquena. Everything was perfect. Just like my grandma made “homemade tortillas.” I’m from Texas and I enjoy TexMex and this is the closest thing I’ve enjoyed in California. I would rate this as the “Best Mexican Restaurant I’ve been to in California in the last 30 years.

If you want good Mexican food, this is the place! They can accommodate large groups. Mariachi birthday song is the best! Food is always served quick. Chips and yummy salsa! Insider tip - make you margarita a cadillac! You will thank me later!
(Pictures are over many years as this is a regular place for us. If anyone comes into town this is a must!)

I was craving mexican food, and I honestly thought it wouldn't be authentic, but it was. I had some chicken mole enchiladas, and they were huge and good. My husband had a large strawberry margarita and he really enjoyed it. My favorite was the dessert, the flan. So GOOD!

In my opinion it is one of the best Mexican Restaurants in San Diego. Better than Old Town. The portions are huge, so you can definitely share. The drinks do not disappoint, they are not afraid to pour. Great kids menu. Beautiful music. Chips and salsa are addicting. Alfonzo is amazing and the best customer service I’ve seen in a long time. He flew care of you. Hope you enjoy and have a great experience.

We came in for a quick lunch on a weekday. We only grabbed appetizers the small taquitos and some nachos.

Both appetizers were good. We even had leftovers to take home. Our server was friendly. Everything came out in a timely manner.

I think if you order drinks the total for one person could be $20-$40

Huge menu with lots of options. Never had a disappointing meal here. They give you chips & salsa to start, the chips are not hard as rocks & the salsa isn't too spicy. Fresh flour tortillas. They also have a nice cocktail list as well, giant margaritas ect.... I like to order from their healthy menu section & my ultimate favorite is the Mexican Stir fry, enough food to split between two people. Their prices are reasonable for the quality of the food.
