Cattlemens isn't what it used to be, it's still good but not like "get excited about going to cattlemens" good. The legendary margarita is terrible and so is their Paloma. Stick to beer and simple well/call drinks. Nice and cold. The ribeye i got, looked and tasted like a NY, isn't as marbled and tasty as my preferred ribeye. And the 6oz filet is laughable. The mashed potatoes aren't creamy like they used to be and the artichoke dip is very sour tasting and so oily, not creamy and delicious. I sent it back. So food is just ok. The service was great though, even as busy as they were and it looks very nice and welcoming just got to get the food back to how it was, this was not a happy anniversary dinner. But my cat was happy she got steak for the last few days!

we had a private event there for 50 people. the booking process was smooth and professional - they were very accommodating as we worked through our people count and the event date. we had the event during the day when the restaurant was closed. the manager met us as we showed up early to set up and he and his staff were very helpful and accommodating. they were well staffed and everything went to plan without a hitch. we did some small apps and a buffet of steak and chicken. the food was great and the service exceptional. the cost was very reasonable; less than half what we’ve paid at other ‘more upscale’ places, but we received the same quality and guest experience (if not better) than much more expensive venues. i would highly recommend cattleman’s for anyone looking to book an event. our event was inside but the covered patio looks like a great option for our holiday party this year.

We had a party of 8...the waitress did a fantastic job explaining and remembering what we each ordered. We had a mix of burgers, ribs, and steaks....Everyone was happy with their food and said they'd choose Cattlemans again.

Our server, Oceana, was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING tonight. Just the right amount of checking in vs. letting us eat and talk. She was friendly and efficient. The food is always good and reasonably priced.

Unfortunately, this new location is crowded, loud, and bright. I know it isn't fair to compare this to either of the newly closed locations but they were more homey and inviting.

I sat at the bar on Sunday evening and was alone. First I was told the wrong thing about the all you can eat salad; I thought that there was a salad bar, but wasn’t explained that there isn’t a salad bar at all. Then all of the sudden they come out with the salad bowl with salad in it so that really surprised me but just went on enjoying my salad. The bartender was super rude to me. I asked for an extra side of dressing and she didn’t even say anything, and just quickly, went back to the kitchen and shoved it in my face. Then I got a smirk from all of the employees there that were congregating around the bar. I felt very uncomfortable, frowned upon and judged. I paid my tab and got up and walked out. I said thank you to the manager that was sitting there doing some paperwork as I walked out. He didn’t even look up at all and ignored me without a word. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Very disappointed. Thanks for reading my review.

We went on Christmas Eve. The service was great. My sirloin was good, but my moms had a ton of gristle, as did my daughter's kid size portion. Husband usually enjoys the ribs very much but his were inedible this time. It's very sad that this was my family's experience and I wish they would have sent their food back. However, I think it's really important to send out good cuts of meat and nothing less than the best. We love Cattlemans usually, tonight was not the best.

My husband and I went to our company end of the year party it was supposed to be in December but the owners are out of town so they had it in January this month the appetizers were good had chicken wings calamari shrimp, my friends steak was medium rare she ordered well done the lobster was a little overcooked. My steak was a little tough they definitely had a hard time catering to a number of people I understand that but my husband have four beers we had a designated driver and the waitress told him that the bartender said he's had enough he had four beers in 2 hours that he couldn't have anymore I understand places have a right to refuse service belligerent or acting crazy it was a company dinner.

We came at peak weekend dinner time on the second day they were open and the place was packed, with an hour wait for a table. However there was open seating in the bar area and we were able to grab a high top right away. The service and food were excellent. It isn't as cozy inside at the Petaluma one, but still nice, and a lot closer to home for us. We'll definitely be back.

Edit: Came back again and my steak was undercooked, my partner's burger was overcooked, and my water glass was constantly empty. I think it really depends on the day. Dropping one star only because it was so good the first time.
