Hired these guys to do a photoshoot for my website. I specifically asked to approve of the photographer before agreeing to work with them. They sent me the portfolio of their photographer. I approved of him.

On the day of the shoot they sent a completely different, amateur photographer that I did not approve of and did not inform me. Classic bait and switch tactic. The photos came out unfocused and low quality. Stay away from these amateurs trying to make a quick buck.

**Updated 3/12:
Instead of trying to fix the situation and reschedule a photoshoot with the specific photographer I paid for. Their “CEO” and “COO” all began to threaten me with lawyers.

I have the specific email with an exact link and name of the photographer I was promised and that we agreed upon before I sent the deposit.

Please show me the email where you guys informed me of the last second unapproved photographer and videographer change. Do you guys have that? Would love to see it. If you guys can provide that I will gladly pay the entire amount without question.

But I know you don’t.

You guys claim I was informed and approved of it and that I AGREED to this random amateur photographer? How can you just blatantly lie like this. It’s disgusting.

Of my 7 years working in ecommerce with different photographers and agencies this is by the far the worst experience I have ever had.

If I didn’t show up in person to help with outfits, they would have gotten away with using some random unapproved amateur. Considering I was willing to pay $6000 for your service, this is how you guys treat me? I know you are young and inexperienced, but trying to trick and mislead clients just to save a couple bucks is not okay.

Thank god I showed up and caught them red handed.

I contacted the photographer whom Darkroom bait and switched me with and they told me they have no affiliation and have never even heard of Darkroom before. If anyone wants to see the emails, I'd be happy to share.

They have also pleaded with me to take my review down. But I will never. I won't accept any form of payment anymore, people need to know and be protected from shady businesses like these.
