I would give them 0 stars if it would let me.
Hire an attorney to handle your claim immediately. This is the most incompetent and unprofessional company I have ever dealt with.
We are 6 months into a simple claim and it took 4 months just to get an adjuster on-site that had the “experience “ required. The first adjuster that Goldenstate hired didn’t have the “expertise” to estimate this claim according to Goldenstate - it took 4 months after his estimate for them to determine this and to send a second adjuster out. The second adjuster never responded because they haven’t been in business for over two years so this took another week. They finally sent the third adjuster which coincidentally worked for the same firm as the 1st adjuster and his estimate was nearly identical. by the end of month #5 a settlement was finally reached with our customer. Considering the damages were 130k with a 50k sublimit they should have settled with in 30 days. It has been 3 weeks since the settlement was signed and they still have not issued a check. They committed to a date and guaranteed that the check would be issued and mailed overnight. Of course it’s been nearly a week since that date and it still hasn’t been issued nor can they provide an update as to why or when it will be issued. As the insured I should have been able to turn this claim over and walk away but I have had to literally babysit and reach out to supervisors with complaints on weekly basis since the start of the claim to make sure my customer doesn’t get ripped off by these guys.
Run from this company at all cost, no matter if you are the insured or if your contractors policy instructs you to file a claim with goldenstate, get a different policy immediately .-

Update- ultimately they did send the check, it was just a week after they had promised and over a month after they were paid by the actual insurer. They receive payment from the insurer, they deduct their exorbitant fees and then they hold your money and use it as cash flow for as long as they can. They will claim delays from “processing” until you finally pin them down and make them pay you. In our case the claim was $52,500.00 their fees to essentially do nothing but be a terrible middle man was over $10,000.00- just to estimate a damaged trailer. At some point they will bankrupt and it will be after they collect several payments from the insurers and fail to pay the insured.

Do not do business with this company - they are awful!! My house, and 2 of my neighbors houses are on the verge of being condemned and Amanda, the claims adjuster is holding everything up by not allowing any of the repairs to start. She wont answer any of our calls or emails and neither will her boss, Tracy. I'm not sure how these people are in business. Absolutely terrible.

Wow just wow if you are looking this company up its already too late. They use real carriers on certificates yet they use these companies when no one else will write them. They denied our claim for lack of cooperation from the insured. They caused $20k worth of damage to our building.we had them admit in writing they destroyed a ton of our property. On my filing of the claim the adjuster was like oh if they don’t cooperate we don’t pay. Very strange on an initial call but it’s because they have a nice scam going. Filed with the insurance commissioner well they found a nice loophole now we have to sue this llc. What a joke the certificate and having insurance means nothing! This company is a joke I’ll keep contacting AIX who said they won’t allow them to write with their name anymore but they allowed it in the first place it’s on them!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GOLDEN STATE CLAIM ADJUSTERS. Please take my word for it. I totally screwed me over and I have never been so frustrated in my life. I am done with them and moving on to someone else. Thankfully the claim that I had wasn’t astronomical because had it been I would be sunk. I’ll be able to pay this myself but it is a very painful lesson.

What a waste of time they are! They have you running around in circles for six months claim adjuster‘s who make appointments and don’t show up, or cancel within hours of an appointment after you’ve taken days off of work. They are the insurance company of a roofing company who stepped over a 3 foot wall to start tearing up the wrong roof. 🤦🏻‍♀️
