The parkway is always a beautiful drive. Was visiting Boone North Carolina for a memorial service and had some time before it started so went on a drive with my Brother a.d Sister in law. The mountains always remind me of the splendor of God's creation.

I lived in the mountains for a long time. I didn't really take advantage of it until my kids were a little older. I was leaving my last visit and decided to take Snowball to the overlook we used to take another baby. He wasn't sure what to think of it, but it was not only beautiful but brought up memories of riding the Parkway just to spend a Saturday. I miss the mountains and am glad I took an extra turn that day. The views are never the same and are always majestic.

A gorgeous place to stop and watch the sunset! We regularly come here on mental health drives :) It’s never crowded, but always populated enough to make you feel safe. Would give it 6 stars if I could!

Beautiful scenery. My favorite overlook in the Boone area. I have a good number of pictures here from when I was little with my Dad. It’s a great spot to stop and remember him at. Great memories and what better of a spot to reminisce at? It’s truly gorgeous. Also, check out the tree that was struck by lightning which is really cool to see.

Great spot to catch a sunrise! More than 10 parking spaces with a “u-shaped” exit/entry and easy to access from either side of the road.
