I love that people are rating this as bad because it works. This is for students who just want to play video games all of class. Sorry, but you have no privacy on a school owned computer at school. If an employer is using it, that is shady. However, the software works the majority of the time and it keeps my students off video games when they should be working.

I absolutely despise Hapara. It completely ruined my life. And it all started one ordinary day…
I was at school at lunch, chatting quietly with my friends and typing on my laptop. Lunch today was the usual—green slop with a side of gray sludge and some water to wash it down. Suddenly, my English teacher, Mrs. Kneekicker, walked up to me.
“Just what do you think you are doing with your laptop?” she asked.
I swallowed the green slop I was eating and said, “Working on an assignment, Ma’am. Remember the 20,000-word essay on the correct uses of the semicolon you assigned to us, due tomorrow?”
“Of course I remember,” Mrs. Kneekicker snapped. “I assigned that yesterday.”
“You did. Which is why I need to work on it as much as possible. I only have…” I checked the word count. “...14,508 words to go.”
“I don’t care how much work you have left to do, you are not allowed to be using your computer during lunch! Let me see that!” With that, she snatched the laptop from my hands. “Aha!” She said triumphantly as if she had just caught a murderer red-handed. Several nearby students looked around to see what the commotion was. Mrs. Kneekicker pointed wildly at the screen, her eyes bulging, a maniacal grin plastered to her face. “Just as I suspected! You have Minecraft downloaded on this laptop!”
My friends, who knew that Mrs. Kneekicker was seconds away from a nuclear explosion, hastily got up and left, muttering excuses under their breaths.
“This is my personal laptop, ma’am,” I said, somewhat terrified, “I bought it with my own money!”
“But you use it for schoolwork, don’t you?”
“Well… Yeah.”
“Aha!” Mrs. Kneekicker yelled again, and a student on the other side of the cafeteria fell from their chair in surprise. “You use schoolwork on your laptop, which technically makes it school property!”
“I don’t think that’s how–”
“That’s exactly how it works!” Mrs. Kneekicker slammed the laptop closed on the table, then started rubbing her hands together excitedly. “This means I get to install Hapara on your laptop!”
“No! P-please, d-don’t!” I pleaded. “I have a family!”
Mrs. Kneekicker didn’t heed my words; she took my laptop and left the cafeteria, laughing like the villain from a cheesy superhero movie.

When my laptop was finally returned to me three days later, my life turned for the worse. I didn’t get to finish my semicolon essay in time (since I didn’t have my laptop), so Mrs. Kneekicker failed me.
Any time I did anything unrelated to school on my laptop, Mrs. Kneekicker would remotely close or delete whatever it was. All my progress on Minecraft—gone. My years of work of writing that wasn’t for school—gone. And worse, Mrs. Kneekicker told me to keep the camera on my laptop turned on at all times and carry the laptop with me around my house so she could see whatever I was doing. She told me that if I ever did anything in my free time that wasn’t school-related, or if I didn’t do as she commanded, she would tell the principal to fail me in all of my classes. And she was married to the principal, so he did anything she told him to do.
So that was that—Mrs. Kneekicker controlled my life from then on.
It wasn’t until I graduated three years later that I finally rediscovered what freedom was.

Hapara is the worst app ever created. the reasons of this are
spying on kids
stealing data
invading privacy and more hapara is so horrible for children and makes them queasy and the feeling like they are being watched 24/7. even if you are at home they can still check what you are doing. BAN HAPARA

Don’t know how I ever taught without it. Bad reviews are kids who can’t pull the wool over their teachers’ eyes.
