Holiday Inn Express Show Low, an IHG Hotel

My stay at the Holiday Inn Express was an absolute nightmare. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that cleanliness and customer service were not priorities at this location. The room: It was disgusting. The floors were sticky, and there was visible dirt in the corners. The bedding looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned, with stains that made me question if it had even been changed. The bathroom was even worse—grime in the shower, a bad odor, and the sink drained so slowly it was unusable. It felt like staying in a cheap motel, not a brand like Holiday Inn. The staff: This was, by far, the most frustrating part of my experience. The employees were unbelievably rude and unprofessional. When I asked for assistance with my room, they acted like I was inconveniencing them. One staff member even rolled their eyes at me when I requested fresh towels. Instead of being greeted with basic courtesy, I was met with hostility and indifference. The lack of care and hospitality at this hotel was shocking. I’ve stayed at Holiday Inns before and expected a certain standard, but this location fell far below it. I’ll never stay here again and strongly recommend that others avoid this place unless you want to ruin your trip

How is this place still operating? At best my room was clean. As for the rest…. The front desk person Malachi i think thats how you spell it. He didn't want to share his name when asked but., He was too busy hanging out with a young lady(worker) to come over and check me in. The whole transaction after that was rude .where do you hire such rude people. A little kindness goes a long way. I was so disappointed i wont be back. This used to be my fav. Place to stay.

Everything you can expect in a decent hotel. Room was clean and smelled good. Bathroom was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Pillows were perfect with two options. TV was great. AC was cold. Refrigerator was quiet. Breakfast and the staff were absolutely awesome.

Good stay overall. The room was fairly large and clean. Breakfast had a decent variety from omelettes to pancakes. Coffee was delicious! Our room and a Jacuzzi tub, but we didn't use it. The only knock was the shower was a bit small small.

Positive: Nothing. Hotel is dirty and room has bad smell. Wash basin is located inside the room. Which i have never seen in any Holiday Inn before. Negative: see above. The hotel is no better than Motel 6. There were no fruits, yoghurts in the breakfast.

Pleasant staff, and nice accommodations. Great place to stay over while travelling. All we needed was a clean room, a good shower, and breakfast. Parking was easy and abundant, area seemed safe and walkable for an evening stroll, but unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate. The hotel was quiet and the breakfast was excellent! Having real bacon always makes my day! Even though it was empty at first, the staff worked hard to keep everything replenished. Would definitely stay again.

The room was immaculate. Got a king standard and the room was extremely spacious. The room even smelled clean. Air conditioning was already at a very comfortable level upon arrival. There are 2 buildings. We chose the outbuilding because we were told the rooms were newly renovated and quieter. The breakfast area is located at the main building. Greeted with a smile and made to feel welcomed. Only one gripe, the bed was terrible. Not the IHG quality you'd expect. Traveling along I-40, the reviews for similar IHG establishments were not good. This hotel is quite a drive off I-40 but decided to stay due to the better ratings. I just wish the beds were of a better quality. I would stay again, for sure!

Positive: It was conveniently located. Negative: The hotel carpets were very dirty. The carpet in the elevator was extremely. Carpets ridiculously dirty. There was very few people my during my visit. However there was NO towels and when I asked at the front desk the gentlemen was so RUDE.
