In addition to being an exceptional artist, Katie is a genuine and kind individual. Her ‘fractured’ art pieces are stunning. I recently brought my three young grandchildren with me from Denver to pick up a beautiful piece that we had purchased, and Katie spent time showing them her studio and supplies. She even let them add a couple brushstrokes to a work in progress…they were thrilled!

I drove by Katie's place in a quick drive through of Salida and from my car was taken with her art! I had to find a place to park to go inside and see more. I was even more impressed inside the gallery. I chatted with Katie and she is so lovely!!!! I commissioned a small painting of my dog and she completed it that same day and it is awesome!!!! I love that she also has small pieces that are so affordable for the average person. Her work is intriguing and fun and beautiful!!!!

Even though I visited more artists' galleries around town, I couldn't help find myself being enamored by Katie's talent. Thankfully, she was in the day I came waltzing by and I was able to chat with her for awhile.

I nabbed one of her cards, immediately found her on Instagram, and have been thinking of reference photos to provide her for a commission in the future!

She's extremely talented and I love how she incorporates geometric foundations into her brush strokes.

Everyone should go say hi and enjoy the various artwork hanging in her gallery!

Obviously, each person enjoys art in their own special way. However, we find it hard to imagine that - even given that tastes differs widely - anyone would walk into Katie's gallery and not being amazed by her work, her talent and her personality. We have looked for paintings or photographs for our Breckenridge mountain home for over 3 years. Our issue was, that we wanted something that catches the spirit of our flora and fauna but isn't the "same old, same old". We were about to cave and buy into one of these "classic mountain scenes" when we stumbled about Katies work. Her talent to caption the dynamic and power of animals in vibrant colors is so refreshing and her paintings (we came for one and ended up with three) are now centerpieces in our home. Make the drive to the charming town of Salida and be amazed yourself!

Artist wasn't in the time I visited, but I've met her on a previous visit. Always has beautiful paintings to choose from at a wide variety of prices. Katie paints with a firm foundation in the knowledge of horses musculature, and her paintings reflect outstanding movement!
