I had a great experience here and just for the experience alone I'm definitely interested in getting another piercing šŸ˜‚ the staff was so professional and friendly even though they were swamped back to back with appointments. They took their time and also showed me the total based on what I wanted before the service, they were very transparent from the beginning. I was pierced by Isa (Isabella H.), she was such a sweetheart, I told her that I have a low tolerance for pain and she coached me through each piercing which went by quick and virtually painless! (I got my 2nd lobe piercing on each ear, gold disc earring)

Friend and myself got tattoos. Clarissa was who first helped us--she was friendly and swift in checking us in.
The wait wasn't bad for being a walk-in. Waited a few moments and literally my tattoo artist came with some options for what I wanted and was in and out. Adam, again your so good. When you meet someone and can off bat tell they know what they are doing, that put me at ease. I got a simple tat but regardless Adam didn't rush, was gentle and just a dope guy. Even put me on to new music. Loved that. Dylan (hope i spelled it right) helped my friend and what do you know, Adam and Dylan are a great team! Treated us both so well. If you're in the area and want a tattoo, can't recommend a better spot. You can even shop around since they are in a mini mall. 2-4-1 if you ask me.

This review is 3 weeks after my inital appointment. I got my tattoo by Cinthia Nakamura (Williamsburg location). She was super kind, informative, and was able to perfectly capture the design I wanted for my tattoo with super pretty added details. It was painless, quick and 100% worth the money. I love my tattoo! The first pic is right after, the second was today. Healing was also pretty smooth.

I got pierced for the first time (basic earlobe piercings) and had a wonderful experience. I’d happily recommend Dre to anyone looking for ear or other piercings, they were very thorough with describing how to care for the piercings during the healing process and were super communicative and proactive about checking with me during each piercing. I’ve heard consistently good reviews of the place and all the staff seemed very professional. They even hooked me up with some tasty glucose tablets when I fainted, felt like a horse with a sugar cube 10/10.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this piercing store was frustrating from start to finish. I arrived on time to put my name on the waiting list, only to find out later that they had erased my name without even informing me.

One of the staff members was incredibly dismissive when I asked about earring prices—she brushed me off, saying they were ā€œtoo pricey,ā€ as if she assumed I couldn’t afford them. It was rude, unprofessional, and honestly insulting.

I had also told the piercer that I only wanted to get one piercing first, as I was concerned about swelling and keloids. She completely dismissed my concern, saying that wouldn’t happen. Well guess what? Both piercings became very swollen over the last two months and developed keloids. I had to remove both today. Total waste of money, time, and trust.

I will absolutely not be returning and wouldn’t recommend. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere that actually cares about your concerns and treats customers with respect.

Our 4 year old begged for her ears pierced and I remember this shop from years ago when I had my nose pierced.
They asked us if it was her decision to get pierced and she even had to sign her own name on the form. And yes, we signed too. She picked out her earrings and Danny, our piercer, went over every detail, from cleaning, to upkeep, the process and the right earrings to choose.
Danny is a pro. Truly patient, extremely thorough, and no nonsense about safety and cleanliness.
He also switched out my nose rings for me.
Everyone there were super supportive of babygirl getting her ears pieced and cheering her on.
I loved the experience. If you have kids or you want some piercings yourself, you are in GREAT HANDS!

I hate leaving negative reviews, but I went in to get my third lobes pierced and the jewelry in my conch changed a few months back and two out of three of the pieces of jewelry have slid through the actual piercing hole.

I properly clean and maintain all of my piercings and I have never had this happen before. It turns out unbeknownst to me at the time, that the toppers for all of these pieces were the same exact diameter as the bars that went through my ear. I have lost the conch piercing on my right ear after getting simple haircut and the lobe piercing on my left ear while sleeping.

It makes me really sad to leave this review but this was a lot of money for me to be losing. I understand that there are risks to getting piercings and absolutely no guarantees, but I feel like this is something that the piercer should've noticed before going ahead with the jewelry.

Other than that my piercings had good placement, there was definitely a good selection of jewelry, and they have a rewards program. Despite that, unfortunately I will not be returning.

I love this studio. The staff is lovely and I've been here to get multiple piercings . I've gone to other places in the area but I prefer Live By the Sword. You can also get rewards points depending on how frequently you go to buy jewelry, or get pierced.
