It was a "snow day" and school was closed because of the snow. My toddler and I decided to go hiking and we finally hiked to the Ramsey Overlook point. My little one was full of energy climbing the mountain and was very happy at the top of the mountain. She didn't get tired until we hiked back to the bottom of the mountain. There are actually 2 possible overlook points when you get to the top (one is just a few feet apart and higher in elevation from the other one). It was worth the hike to be able to look over both of the cliffs at the top of the mountain. I included a lot of pictures because I noticed that there wasn't really that many pictures for this spot.

Moderate short hike to the lookout area. Plenty of benches along the switchbacks to rest and take your time up. Good idea to have a hiking pole or walking stick for the walk down, just to help stabilize.

This is the first major stop on the Hamburg trail after leaving Ramsey Preserve. It is a very beautiful place very photogenic with big vistas of Ramsey peak and the deeper part of Ramsey Canyon. It is all facing primitive and wilderness areas with no flatland or desert or city vistas. Meaning you cannot see the horizon you can only see other mountains and you feel like you are in the wilderness and legally technically you are this is in the Miller peak wilderness.

Tough trek up there, but well worth it for the view. I ate my snacks while mesmerized by the beauty. I would add a picture or two, but honestly, none of my pictures do it justice

Enjoyable hike from The Nature Conservancy Visitor Center. About a thousand feet vertically and a mile. The trail is decent.
