Adore my stylist, Frank. I’ve been getting my haircut from him for about 4 years now, and I’ve left the salon LOVING my haircut. He knows how to work with Asian hair, and I honestly don’t think I’ll go to any other stylist!

I was overdue for a haircut and stumbled upon Reconnect. The website had an inviting, professional vibe, so I decided to take a chance. I used the online booking app, selecting "any stylist" and, lucky for me, Frank had an opening the very next day! When I arrived, at least 3 different people welcomed me. The receptionist made me a cup of tea and even took time to chat. When Frank was ready, he greeted me with a smile, and listened to my hair woes as we looked at the photos I'd brought for reference. He took great care creating a style that met my hopes for this haircut, and he obviously understands fine, naturally curly hair! What a great experience. ❤️

I first went to Gloria to help repair some color that didn’t work out well for me. I was also interested in someone that would work with my wavy / curly hair. Gloria never rushed me and spent time understanding what I wanted. She did an amazing job with my color and really brought out the natural curl in my hair. I have been going to her ever since. I love getting my hair done with Gloria, it is so relaxing and my hair always looks great. I highly recommend.

I had high hopes for my visit to Reconnect Hair after it was recommended to me as the go-to place for a new hairstyle. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant, leaving me both shocked and deeply dissatisfied.

Upon arriving in the Burlingame neighborhood (running some errands) and wanting to check out Paul's work on Instagram, I thought it was a reasonable request. I approached the salon and was greeted by Lang, who was, to put it mildly, far from welcoming. Lang's response to my simple inquiry about an Instagram page was both dismissive and off-putting. She insinuated that if I wanted a stylist with an Instagram presence, I had likely made a wrong choice. She even stated, "We don't need to have an Instagram page." I can appreciate that confidence in one's talents is essential, but this response seemed unnecessarily arrogant.

The real shock came less than a week before my scheduled appointment when I received a text message from the salon, canceling my booking. The message essentially suggested that my interest in a stylist with an Instagram following meant I should seek services elsewhere. To say I was left speechless would be an understatement. I refrained from responding, as I couldn't find the right words to express my bewilderment and disappointment.

What I had anticipated as an exciting haircut appointment turned into a disheartening experience. Rather than looking forward to a fresh look.

I hope that Reconnect Hair reevaluates its approach to customer service, as a warm and welcoming attitude can go a long way in creating a positive and lasting impression.

Colleena is great. I’ve had haircuts and Brazilian blowouts and been very happy each time. Parking in the new garage makes appointments easier and I can get myself a treat downtown afterwards.

This review is LONG overdue, mostly because it's hard to condense all the great things I want to say to a reasonable length. Paul is AMAZING! I've been going to him for close to 10 years and he now cuts my daughter's hair as well. We've never had a cut that we didn't love. He really understands hair and takes the time to make sure you get a style that works for your hair and lifestyle and looks great. When a new style doesn't grow out perfectly, I can tell him what didn't work and he always knows how to fix it so that it is perfect the next time. He is also a great person who cares about people.

I have wavy/curly hair and needed help! While in NYC a barber messed up my whole head. ? Gloria is a curly hair specialist who knows how to get it done. Though a bit pricey, she is definitely worth it. I left feeling like a new person! 100 recommend
