S&l Gem co promotes unethical sales tactics towards the elderly and consumers that do not understand and basis of credit and sales. My elderly mom who visited the store on 9/25/24 was a victim of financial elderly abuse when 3 of the stores sales associates took advantage of her. My mother was only interested in one item but eventually she came out with 5-7 items of jewelry totally $19k. The 19k was charged to 2 new credits opened at the store. When I was notified by my mother of this 2 weeks later she was unaware of the charges and the 2 new credit cards opened by the store. When I reviewed the receipts of course it say no returns. I visited the store and talked to Anna (the manager) and she was no help and basically said "your mother knew what she was signing and that she needed to speak to her regional manager". It took the regional manager a week in a half to get back to me and we set up a meeting. During that meeting, I found out that the credit card application had incorrect information entered by the store associates. The monthly income was over $7k, # of years at current address and employee status was incorrect. When I brought this up the regional manager (Gia) was quiet and said nothing. She had to check with her associate and when she finally got back to me 2 days after, all she said was "your mother verified the application and signed and we are unable to accept the return. During our meeting I specifically asked her "are these questions asked and she said yes. If these questions were asked the information on the application would be correct. This store at serramonte along with other locations in tanforan mall and great mall is filled with unethical sales associates who target the elderly. I will be taking legal action against this company and hope to shut them down and held them accountable for their actions.

Bought a beautiful 3ct plus platinum engagement ring from S&L Gem. Andy has always been helpful and has always been professional. He is the go too there. I will be doing more business in the future like I have been the past 3 years. Thanks again Andy and S&L Gem. My wife is happy!

Bad experience. Very less variety. After 5 minutes, we entered into the store, the staff was trying to rush/force us to buy a 1ct diamond ring without even knowing what we want. Pathetic experience. Don’t go here to make your life long and big purchase - which is for a memorable life moment. I interacted with two staff members. One of the lady didn’t even know the details and the second showed us 3-4 rings and was rushing us to buy one of those. Avoid this store at all costs

I have shopped at this jewelry store for the past three years blindly. Even after a couple bad experiences with the staff at the Tanforan location I kept coming. I bought myself more than 5 sets of earrings I've also purchase items for my girlfriend and my daughter. I've referred three separate customers to them one in particular spending over $5,000 on one purchase. Days ago after learning of a critical situation with my family I need it to come up with some money fast to assist someone in need. because I had nothing else immediately accessible to me I figured I would take the most valuable items that I have which are my diamonds and pawn them to help myself out in this situation. I took over $7,000 worth in diamonds that I purchased at this location to five different pawn shops. And not one punch that would give me more than $400 for them in total. I ask why. Unanimously they all said that the diamonds were not the quality that the receipts stated nor the size. I told him that it was impossible that I purchase S1 diamonds and one set alone I paid over $4,000 for. They all said I was taken advantage of by this company. so to all those who I'm buying any particular item from this company. Careful, they will do anything to take your money.

The reason why I have put up this one star is only because of the fact that one of the staff members has made false claims to ensure my purchase of their items. I was in a rush to buy a custom made name necklace for my girlfriends birthday, and this staff member claimed that the necklace I wanted would be finished in between 7-10 days. After the 7 days have past, I came by the shop to see if the necklace was finished, but when I talked to the same staff, he said that it would take another 3-5 days. I asked him if they can rush it, but instead he kept on saying the 3-5 days long wait. Today is the 10th day that I was promised that it would be finished, so instead of talking to the same person, I decided to call the shop. I asked them if my item was ready, however the person on the phone claimed that my kind of purchase would usually take around 2-3 weeks. I was very inconvenienced to the fact that the original staff member had lied to me about the time it would take to finish my necklace, and I wish for many others to know that this jewelry shop is no very honest with their customers, only wanting to ensure that people will buy their products, even if it means to be dishonest.

Now this is a place to get some pieces that are beautifully done and hard to find at other jewelry stores. S & L Gem Co offers me an incredible array of choices for the members in my family and of course myself. I’ve never not found a more unique setting anywhere. The staff is exceptional ♥️

The customer service is very manipulate and tricked me. I don't want to mention specific details, but they are liars. They took advantage of me and are trying to force me to pay a certain amount that I was not expecting. When I try to state my side to a higher rep, they said I misunderstood and claimed that they didn't know I wasn't aware of the pricing. They just want your money and, they'll go out of their way to make you pay much more . Don't go to any of their locations!

HORRIFIC STORE. i went there to get my bracelet fixed (which I bought from them), under one year, staff made excuses.. and made us pay 30 dollars. After that I had my bracelet for maybe a week and it broke AND NOW ITS GONE. MORE THAN $400 dollars down the drain. I hope they close down faster than the mall closes. Scammers.
