My Kid has been to this school for 1 year now (he started in 2024 in August) And I have to say it’s bad, The Male Gym Teachers are too strict, my child was dehydrated and yet the teachers refused to let him take a break from soccer, And This School is not good, not only they didn’t care but they also don’t let them take breaks, this is bad.

So we have been parents for 2 years at this school. At the beginning of our experience all seemed to go well. This school specifically as we found out is known as what students called a HUB for drugs. While the main campus is known for its violence and fighting. Though at the beginning the administration was very helpful in trying various approaches to helping students. As time has gone by, so has their patience as it seems. Lately instead of being proactive, the admin is now using suspensions and her power to enact extreme actions of discipline on students with disabilities to make an example for her student body in regards to drugs on campus. She has taken to now issuing an alarming amount of suspensions and expulsions per my child. Each students again using them as an example to the student body as a fear tactic. LAUSD needs to further support this school and administration as the problem is out of control and so is the administration as they are now doing very little with SEl (Social Emotional Leanring) to help students, but rather using suspensions and expulsions as a fear tactic with the students.
