If you had a 100-star review, we here at Robin’s Nest Rescue in Ramona would definitely choose it for Shelly Mullin at SHELLZ Design & Photography. We had been working for awhile to get Shelly for a photo shoot at our five-acre ranch and retreat destination. She is one busy super woman with not only photography (a whole career in itself!) and also design, real estate visual specialist, graphic/web designer, and dog care person par excellence! If you think something must be short-changed in the process, you would be wrong! I’m not sure how, but she manages to do it all, with excellence and aplomb.

But here I will keep commenting on Shelly the photographer (though it crosses over into Shelly-the-Person). We asked for, not one or two or three “angles,” but a many-faceted request for every need we could imagine for our five-acre ranch/rescue/sanctuary/retreat/home, as well as our personal proclivities. And did Shelly deliver! We got everything from aerials to eyeballs, and everything between. Shelly even made a second trip (her idea) to get some additional shots/light combo that she wanted to try out. Who does that?! Shelly.

To demonstrate the breadth of what I mean: We have five acres, mountain vistas, huge boulders, and giant oak trees; we have two residences, a dozen outbuildings, eight horse stalls, two vintage trailers, and a pristine ’56 BelAir; we have pot belly pigs, alpacas, horses, a mini donkey, hair sheep, dogs, cats, and two African Sulcata tortoises. She captured all 21 animals at some point. There’s more, but you’re probably getting overwhelmed by now.

The bottom line: Shelly is simply the best at what she does, and that’s a lot. The outcome is not only superb, but also the way she cares personally for the shots and the people (including the 4-legged variety) makes it one spectacular experience. I’m not sure how, when, or why you should have Shelly in your life, but I know you won’t regret it. Promise.
