LOVE Melody. So I'm looking for an agent and I always thought it was impossible/hard to get one. I would get referrals from other actor friend's to their agency and the agency would pass. One of my friends referred Smart Girl Productions.. Best thing I did. They put together a FANTASTIC marketing letter for me to send out to agencies. I had 4 agencies interested! Melody also helped me to make a decision. She didn't tell me which one to choose, she just helped me to figure out what I'm looking for in an agent and to pick what I thought would work best for me. Melody advises the actor to pursue opportunities. This was almost unsettling to me as a Christian growing up because I was always asking for forgiveness or redemption. That said, Melody is NOT selling magic beans; rather, she is emphasizing that GOD does not choose the actors who require the services of a manager. I visited Smart Girls' website 20+ times before contacting her because I firmly believed in so-called legitimate excuses like "I'm not ethnically ambiguous enough, I haven't booked a national commercial yet, I'm not in the union, I'm not booking guest star roles, I only have theatre credits," and so on... I (unintentionally) signed with a theatrical agent under the manager package during covid and was offered four manager representations. I'm writing this review because I also created two comedy reels, got professional headshots, and organized and hosted a live event (in front of a small audience) under covid regulations to film video clips of myself performing XYZ for casting websites. Working hard does not only imply mailing and responding for three months! I'm not aspiring to be an office manager. I'm making an attempt to make a living as an actor. Melody simply holds the key to ensuring that all of her efforts are acknowledged. Thank you very much, and please give Melody a chance!

This place is a scam. The woman who runs it is unprofessional, uninformed and a scam artist. Do not fall for their shady business practices. They have been shut down many times under many other names. They just want to make money off of your dreams while having no ability to help you. It’s a shame there are grifters like this in LA.
