We Had a Great Remodel Experience with Such Enhancements, Inc., of San Carlos

We recently used the services of Such Enhancements, Inc., of San Carlos, to remodel a bathroom in our Belmont home, and we wanted to share what for us was a very positive experience.

Background: We had a guest bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower/tub enclosure) that was in need of a complete remodel, as one can see in the attached pictures.

Such Enhancements were recommended to us by a neighbor, who used them for a kitchen remodel. We liked the quality of the work and scheduled an interview with Robert and Karen Such, the owners, to discuss our bathroom “situation.”

The initial interview went very smoothly and was productive, so we decided to move forward. We were very new to the remodeling process and had a lot of questions, and they were very patient with us, and guided us through the process. We started with a few ideas, and Robert and Karen helped us refine those ideas into several possible designs for the space.

Karen became our primary point of contact for our remodel, and we enjoyed working with her. She prepared several different computer mockups for us, and helped us refine our ideas until the details were just as we wanted. We didn’t feel any pressure to rush this design portion of the process, which was something I personally appreciated.

We were very uncertain about colors and patterns, so it took us a lot of time to pick these things. Once we had finally decided what we wanted, Such Enhancements moved quickly to order the custom materials, which took several months to manufacture. They did not begin construction until all of the custom materials for the job had been delivered.

The Such Enhancements crew began construction in early August and completed the bulk of the work in the following four weeks. The final countertop and fixture installations, final painting, and other finishing details were completed over the next five weeks or so, for a total construction timeline of approximately 10 weeks, from beginning to being completely done.

Quality of work and overall impressions: In a single word, WOW! The finished bathroom is gorgeous! It is also extremely well-constructed, up to code, and fully inspected and permitted by the city of Belmont. We are very, very happy with the results!

I was present in the home during most of the remodel, by my own choice, and I was continually impressed with the strong work ethic and capable skillsets of the workers and subcontractors who were part of the Such crew. I was happily surprised at this, to be honest! The foreman and other crew members kept me informed about where things stood and what would be happening next, which was a relief. Although the project took a few weeks longer than the initial projections, at no point did the delays feel unnecessary or as the result of poor planning.

Concluding thoughts: We had a very positive experience using Such Enhancements for a full bathroom remodel in our Belmont home. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for future work, and I will happily recommend the quality of their work to others.
