This is a family run store selling Ansel Adams photographs and posters and some Southwest Jewellery that has been part of his family for many years. Classes are also offered. Definitely see this place while in Yosemite. My wife did find a couple pieces of excellent jewellery. No tickets are needed to enter as it is a store.

The Ansel Adams Gallery celebrates the life and work of famous photographer Ansel Adams. The gallery has many of his original prints, reprints, books and general souvenirs that reference him. You'll also find works of other photographers that showcase Yosemite. There are paid photography classes offered here as well as free walking tours each Tuesday and Thursday. While most of the items in stock are expensive, the value of learning you receive by exploring this gallery is priceless.

My wife and I visited Yosemite over a decade ago and just loved it. We decided to return. Only this time we chose to make more of the trip. We booked a photography tour with the gallery. Michael chose to do this tour for us.

He reached out prior to our visit to understand us and our abilities and limitations (which are considerable). He tailored to tour to us from the start and further so as we went through the tour.

I will limit this review to a summary. It was an incredible day and exceeded our every expectation. We learned a lot about photography, our cameras, Yosemite, Ansel Adams, and ourselves. I don't know how to express our appreciation of Michael.

His knowledge of photography, the park, and the ability to read people(us) made this trip an incredible memory. If you enjoy photography at any level and want to understand how to do better, book a tour. It will be the best money and time you spend this year, maybe this decade.

For those familiar with the beautiful black and white images of Yosemite National Park by early 20th century Ansel Adams, one of interesting places to visit in the valley is his studio. Opening hours 9am to 5pm daily.

Today, the Ansel Adams studio is an art gallery where visitors can find photo reprints of Ansel Adams as well as numerous other art related gifts. It is a nice shop to see even if you don't intend to buy anything.

Note - within the gallery you'll find a wall with history and images of Ansel Adams as well as information related to the establishment and running of his studio here in Yosemite Valley during the early days.

This is really an art store with a portion dedicated to Ansel Adam. They do carry some original prints (I saw one today for $125,000, not including framing). But they carry other artists with similar subjects and some native American art. The staff is very kind and there is something for a broad range of budgets. We found prints for $25 that were a good size and great for our kids to appreciate the natural beauty of the National Parks.

A boutique gallery with reasonably priced Ansel prints of the park. Definitely worth a quick stop by. Also they sell film, disposable cameras, SD cards, tripods and other random photography things you may need to pick up if you didn’t pack enough ?

In addition to high-priced art, they offer a variety of very nice cards, gifts, and jewelry for $1.50 to $25.

Lovely gallery with original Ansel Adams prints and reproductions. What a treat to be able to see these large prints in person! They also sell film! 35mm and medium format, a variety of options. I ran out during my trip to Yosemite and didn’t expect to find some in the valley - thanks for stocking film!
