The Pottery Lot is excellent! I have been to 2 different classes, hand-built Christmas trees and hand-built angels. I can't wait to take more classes including the pottery wheel classes (when the weather gets warmer and more predictable). The staff is very friendly and helpful. In addition to classes, you can purchase pottery from local artists. This is a great addition to the high country!

I had a wonderful time attending one of their clay slab vase making classes. It was such a great experience I signed up for two of their 8-week classes! The instructors were so helpful, friendly and creative! I highly recommend for individuals or families!

Had a wonderful time at the Beginners Wheel class! The atmosphere is clean and comfortable. Really appreciated the manner of teaching and assistance through out the process. Would very much be interested in open studio time. I can't commit to the specific dates of the longer courses but would love to practice at other times. Thank you for providing an excellent business!

From the moment that you enter the Pottery Lot, you realize that you're not just entering a store and they don't view you as just another customer. Their emphasis is being part of the community. In one place, you can purchase products from local potters and take glasses on how to become a potter yourself. This is an excellent business with a genuine atmosphere.

We took a wheel-throwing class and would highly recommend it! Naomi and Shaylee were great teachers and kept the class fun for everyone. Looking into taking their 8 week class now. I'm so happy we have Pottery Lot as a part of our community!

If you live or are visiting in the High Country of N.C., particularly with family, this is an outstanding event space -- from you and your family members making (perhaps) your first piece of pottery, to taking beginning to advanced classes, or even to purchase pottery products from artists around the region. Well-thought out and upfitted wiht multiple throwing wheels, kilns, etc. including a special party-type event space. You have to try this place out. I was astonished.
