The worst Uhaul place I’ve ever been! Male representative who supposed to release trailer for me is literally crazy person, who can’t communicate properly, gives answers not related to questions asked and throws equipment on the ground so it’s just scary to be anywhere close to him. I asked for another representative to help and my request got denied. They did not even apologize. Avoid this place.

I had an exceptional experience renting a U-Haul cargo van from the Long Beach location on PCH Highway. From start to finish, the service was top-notch. KaRon was outstanding during check-in, making the process seamless and getting me set up with a clean, well-maintained, and great-running van.

When I returned the van, Richard ensured the checkout process was quick and smooth, going above and beyond to make things hassle-free. While I was waiting for the final inspection, Jason’s professionalism and friendly demeanor stood out, making the experience even more pleasant.

This team truly exemplifies excellent customer service. I highly recommend this location for anyone needing a U-Haul rental. Thanks again to KaRon, Richard, and Jason for their outstanding work!

Everyone here was super helpful! I went here two weeks in a row. I can’t remember the girls name, but she helped me two weeks in a row. Last week she got me the last 20 foot truck in our area at a different location. this week she set me up with a trailer.A+ service.

Business lobby was empty.

Both employees seemed that they had a long night and did not want to be at work.

Neither employee acknowledged or greeted me initially.

The female employee begrudgingly said “do you have a reservation”. I replied “good morning”. The employee hesitated and seemed annoyed to say eventually good morning back.

I placed my identification on the counter and the employee still asked for my name.

Throughout the entire transaction the employee had a mad look on her face and was not pleasant or kind.

After finally receiving my key the employee never said thank you or have a good day.

The rental truck reeked of cigarettes.

Service was super unfriendly and was vocalized that they(employees) needed to leave work or they were going to get in trouble by uhaul for being over hours. And stated loudly “IF THE CUSTOMERS WEREN'T COMING IN SO LAST MINUTE” keeping in mind that they were still 30 minutes until close. I understand not liking late business, but projecting like that is unprofessional and uncalled for. During check out the man was very impatient with us and clearly frustrated and annoyed. No names were given however I most definitely will not be returning to this location.

In summary, don't waste your time coming here because if you don't look identical to your ID picture due to weight loss the employees will not rent the U-Haul. After several attempts of proving my partners identity for the employee Oscar, he still denied service.

We made a reservation at this exact location for September 30, 2024 at approximately 3:00pm under Eleno Constante's name a month ago and the male employee who said his name is Oscar, ( he was not wearing a name tag so there is a probability he did not provide his correct name.) Oscar looked at my partner's license and saw that he did not look identical to the picture on his license because my partner lost weight. However, Oscar the employee was an asshole because he made my partner and I go through the hassle of taking the pictures to verify him and Oscar denied my partner service. When already knowing that he (Oscar) was going to deny my partner service in the first place because he had already seen his license before we did the entire process. Instead of saving the customers time Oscar acted inconsiderate about our time, unprofessional, and with his nonverbal behavior he displayed hateful facial expressions rather than amicable.

As a side note: we told the employee Oscar we had previously rented from U-Haul a month ago and my partner and I had a good reputation of returning the U-Haul to this location after bringing the U-Haul from Georgia. But Oscar heartlessly did not care and said no we can't rent you the U-Haul.

I had terrible service from the Long Beach location where I rented a 20' truck. The employees there were lazy and useless. When I picked up my truck I commented to the guy outside that the back tires looked a little wore out and the guy said they were fine. I was driving across the desert to Arizona with a loaded truck. 23 miles past Indio in the middle of the desert I have a massive blow-out of my inside rear tire. Luckily I maintained control of the vehicle and got it stopped without hitting anyone. I limped it off the road and called Uhaul roadside assistance. The guy on the phone messed up my location and put me 50 miles further away than I actually was which caused the tow truck to give a 90 minute eta. I called them back a few minutes later and spoke to another girl on the phone who was very helpful and she updated my location for the tow truck and said they should be there anytime since they were only 23 miles away. After an hour of waiting on the side of the road in the 106 degree heat I called back again to get a better eta. They changed their story and said the original 90 minute eta was because he was on another call. I said nice try but that's not true because it was due to the first guy having me 50 miles further away! The tow truck showed up exactly 90 minutes... from 23 miles away. He took another 45 minutes to change the 2 rear tires. When he finished I had him check the air pressure on the rest of the tires just to be safe. They were all over inflated by 10-15 pounds each! The front end of the truck was also out of alignment and pulled hard to the left at freeway speeds. I added a picture showing how far the steering was off while going straight down the freeway. I can't believe they would send moving trucks across country without doing a proper basic inspection first. The Long Beach location on PCH should get rid of their lazy dangerous employees, what a huge liability. I would never go back there. I paid over a thousand dollars for a janky truck that had not been inspected properly to carry a load across country. It caused a 6 hour trip to turn into a 9 hour trip with almost 3 hours sitting on the side of the road in 106 degree heat. I've got pictures of the tires if needed.
Save yourself a massive headache and maybe your life and rent somewhere else!

I had a terrible experience with U-Haul at Long Beach. The service agent was incredibly rude and unhelpful, which made the whole process frustrating. To make matters worse, the vehicle I was given was in poor condition, and I was charged extra for gas despite returning it with the correct amount as instructed. This location clearly has major issues with both customer service and accuracy in their billing. I strongly recommend avoiding U-Haul at Long Beach to avoid similar problems.
