My family’s been going to this library for decades.. We’ve seen it go through many changes, renovations and restorations.. The staff here is generally helpful and almost always knowledgeable when it comes to books and local information.. We’ve encountered bad attitudes a handful of times but you’ve got to cut people some slack for having the occasional bad day! One of our favorite thins about this library was the children’s programs (both of our children have outgrown them now).. The offer a wide range of classes and playful activities.. The children’s section, located upstairs, has a decent selection of books and dvds and a great arts & crafts room.. They also have a great selection of dvds for adults, including an impressive foreign film section.. All in all this library is a great addition to the local community!!

Westhampton Free Library is a good library with a great selection of books, working computers, affordable printing/copying and mostly helpful staff. However, if you're looking for a quiet place to read or work, this is *not* that. Given the smaller size of the library, sound travels far and it can be very distracting. A lot of the staff and patrons talk at loud volumes, parents let their kids run around and make noise, people answer calls and play stuff outloud on their phone. For a library that "enforces" not taking phone calls inside (as they should), you'd think they'd enforce more quietness overall :') it's a shame because it's a great library otherwise and used to be more quiet!

Great little library. It's small but has excellent kids room with toys. They also have STEAM kits you can check out and a good selection of Wonder Books.

Great place. I had a proctor exam and Sara was so kind to make sure I had a private place for 2 hours.
Also my wife found this to be a wonderful place for kids. Lots to do for kids and everyone is nice.

I've been to larger libraries and even though it's a little small, they've got so much inside. Great teen and kids section with books and games; even Nintendo! Staff is very friendly, helpful, and nice.

Consider this as a love letter to the Westhampton Free Library.
You may or may not be keen on all the town residents, summer people, or all the retailers in WHB, but the Free Library is an oasis for a variety of library services, use of computers, copiers, printers, cool air and (if desired) peaceful solitude.
More important, the library is staffed by people who are among the most courteous, friendly and helpful I have yet encountered. If you need assistance of any kind, the staff are unflaggingly available. Really, the quality of service here is startling. We all of us have likely forgotten what it is like to be in a setting where other people are just consistently pleasant and invariably polite.

I love the Westhampton Free Library! The kids' facility is great, the librarians are super helpful, and I really enjoy playing duplicate bridge there on Tuesday afternoons.
